Commentary: Horror-mystery with diverse leads and some anti-corporate/elitist themes. Strong female investigator with agency drives much of the narrative and resists controlling structures, but explicit feminist dialogue is light. Limited or unclear LGBTQ+ elements and minimal overt social-justice messaging. Tone and focus are supernatural/cult intrigue rather than romance, so it doesn’t fit chick-flick conventions.
